MOLLY DAWES

Learned square dancing with Don Shadforth in 1963.
Had a break from 1965 for several years for family reasons and got back into dancing with Kevin Kelly about 1969
From late 1970 until 1995 was a member of White Gum Valley Square Dance Club and since 1986 has been a member of the Greenfinch Square Dance Club.

CLUB SERVICE
Was Secretary/Treasurer for Wanneroo Whirlaways Square Dance Club, for children aged 6-14 years, from 1974-1979.

Treasurer for the Greenfinch Club for four (4) years 1997-2001.

Life Member of the Greenfinch Club since 2001

STATE SERVICE
Has typed and set out the “Squaring Around WA” magazine for a total of 20 years.
Has typed articles and amendments etc. to the “South Pacific Square Dance Review” for a total of 20 years.
Secretary of the Square Dance Society of WA in 1980.

President of the Square Dance Society of WA in 1981

Created position of Functions Committee Chairman and occupied this post for a total of seven years.

Tours Liaison Officer 1988-94 and 1998-2001 .

Life Member of the Square Dance Society of WA since 1984

On two W .A. National Convention Committees as Assistant Accommodation 1978 and Publicity in 1993.
