Rosalind Todd has dedicated much of her life to both education and the square dance community in Australia. Born and raised in Hornsby, NSW, Rosalind began her teaching career after graduating from Teachers’ College at Lindfield and continues to support students with learning needs.
Her passion for dancing began at age seven with ballet and expanded to include jazz, tap, ballroom, and Scottish dancing. Rosalind was introduced to square dancing in her late teens and met her husband David at a local dance. Together, they founded the successful D Bar T square dance club and were active in both local and international events, including the First Canadian National Square Dance Convention in 1978.
Rosalind has played a key role in the square dance community not just as a dancer, but also as an organiser and editor. Since 2000, she has served as the Coordinating Editor of the Australian Square Dance Review, promoting the art of square dancing both nationally and internationally. She has also held leadership roles in various state conventions and was awarded Life Membership to the Square Dance Society of NSW in 2011.
Currently, she serves as Secretary of the Square and Round Dance Association of NSW, and continues to champion square dancing through her editorial and organisational work.
